American Idol finalist, Lacey Brown, joined Coast Community Church’s tailgate party this past Sunday. Members of the church were encouraged to wear their favorite team jersey and bring food like they would at a tailgate party. Lacey Brown was the first contestant (number 12) to be voted off of Season 9. “A lot of people say they cried when I was voted off; I cried, too,” she said. “However, a lot of people don’t even make it as far as I did, and I’m very happy I had the opportunity.” Brown grew up in Amarillo, Texas, and her parents, David and Connie Brown, are pastor and co-pastor of Victory Church in Amarillo.
