The first annual Miss Sweetheart pageant wasn’t just about beauty, poise and elaborate dresses, but was designed to also raise awareness for the mission of Students against Destructive Decisions.

The Holley Navarre Fire Department put out a yard fire on the 2000 block of Shannon Road Feb. 14. Chief Norton said the homeowner gathered pine straw and cones to burn in the yard.
