Tiger Point announces new hires

Tiger Point Golf Club recently announced the hiring of Amy Luna and Scott Crum. Luna is the new director of sales and marketing. Crum will be the superintendent of the golf course.

Luna, a University of Tennessee graduate with a degree in hospitality management and business, most recently worked at Portofino Island Resort and has worked at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and Blackberry Farm.

Crum, who will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining the courses and grounds, has 25 years’ experience in the golf industry. He has been superintendent at several Alabama clubs, including Timberlake Golf Club, Lake Forest Yacht and Country Club, Evans Barnes Golf Course and Evergreen Golf Club.

“We are thrilled to have Amy and Scott join the team. With Amy’s enthusiasm and leadership and Scott’s experience and knowledge, they will each play an integral role in driving us toward our goals,” said Ron Pulley, Parks and Recreation director for the City of Gulf Breeze.

Luna and Crum join the management team, currently led by Tony Silva, head golf professional, and Jesse Sproles, food and beverage manager.

Established in 1983, Tiger Point Golf Club offers 27 holes to club members and the public. Recently, The City of Gulf Breeze bought Tiger Point and has begun to make significant changes, including adding staff to service guests, new fencing around portions of the property, cleaning of the lakes and waterways and better playing conditions on the east course. Plans for renovation for the west course are under way with the goal of beginning construction in late fall 2013.
