The Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council of the south end has passed a motion and voted to support the Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary project.
Thomas Jackson said he started his art career at the age of three, using crayons, and hasn’t stopped since. “I had the urge to paint, and I love it,” said Jackson.

Navarre High School’s baseball Raiders held on to beat Escambia 4-3 March 8 and had the go-ahead runs on base in gut-wrenching losses to Pace, 4-2, and Milton, 6-5, Friday and Saturday. The loss at Milton left Navarre with a 4-5 record overall, 2-4 against District 1-5A competition.

Navarre High School boys and girls tennis teams defeated Tate High School during their home game March 8 with boys winning 5 – 2 and the girls with a score of 6 – 1.

Pace won first place finishes in the three lowest weight classes in an away meet held on March 7. However, the Raiders dominated the other weight categories, capturing first place finishes in six of the remaining seven weight divisions. The surge allowed the Raiders to win the meet by a score of 51 to 39.
