Zak Boston may be a classic overachiever. He starts his school day about 7 a.m. with a run of three to seven miles.

After he is finished running for the day he settles in for a nice ice bath around 5 p.m. For most students, that would be challenging enough. However, Boston also carries a 4.5 GPA and recently received an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.
