Kylie Casey exploded for 20 second-half points Dec. 12 to lead Navarre High School to a 53-47 victory against archrival Gulf Breeze just three nights after Pensacola embarrassed the Raiders 62-27 on the Tigers’ home court.
“It was good to see the girls rebound in front of that noisy crowd at Gulf Breeze because we weren’t ever in the game in our loss to Pensacola,” said Navarre coach David Noles. “When Lori (Fletcher) took the scoring lead early in the Gulf Breeze game, (the Dolphins) decided to double team her in the second half. We’re getting used to that happening, but this time we had the answer with the long-range shooting of Kylie. She broke the game open for us in the third quarter.”
