Raider, Dolphin football stars to team up

Three seniors from both Gulf Breeze and Navarre will play their final high school football games as teammates Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Pensacola Sports Association’s 5th Annual PSA High School All-Star Football Game at Steve Riggs Stadium in Fort Walton Beach.

Adam Hamilton, a 5-foot, 11-inch cornerback/kicker, running back Kwamane Howard (5-11, 185) and receiver/strong safety/punter Billy Mitchell (6-2, 205) will represent Navarre’s Raiders.The Dolphins are sending quarterback Kyle Schnackenberg (5-9, 175), receiver Cody Warford (6-3, 215) and running back Brandon VanCamp (6-1, 220).Players from Santa Rosa and Walton counties again will face off against Escambia County’s all-stars. Escambia High School coach Jimmy Nichols will guide the West team and Fort Walton Beach High’s Mike Owens will coach the East team.The Andrews Institute of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze will provide sideline medical care. The sports association will present Derrick Brooks Charities MVP awards to the offensive and defensive players of the game.Admission is $8. Children 10 and younger will be admitted free. Both teams will practice at Navarre High School today, Dec. 11, starting with the West squad at 5 p.m. The East team will practice at 5:30 p.m. The squads have practiced at other area schools this week.
