Navarre High School girls’ basketball played two close games in the Daphne Thanksgiving basketball tournament, defeating a highly touted Escambia, Ala., squad 44-41 on Friday, Nov. 28, but bowing to host Daphne, 47-45 Saturday, Nov. 29.
Lori Fletcher set the scoring pace for the Lady Raiders with 18 points in the win and 20 points in the losing effort. “The experience against two pretty good teams was needed,” said Coach David Noles, “and it certainly opened our players’ eyes to several areas of needed improvement.
