The Pensacola Sports Association is inviting area businesses and sports organizers to participate in the first Sports Connection Expo, scheduled between 10 a.m. and noon Wednesday, May 15 at the Vickrey Center, 2130 Summit Boulevard in Pensacola.
According to a news release, the Sports Connection Expo “will provide avenues of communication between sports organizers and local businesses.” The association will act as a host, “providing a structured central location to bring interested parties together.”
The news release reports that more than 50 sports events bring about 44,000 visitors to the Pensacola area each year. The Sports Connection Expo will “provide businesses, sports events managers and other decision makers the opportunity to discuss potential relationships and partnerships.”
Any sports organization and business that could benefit from a sports partnership are welcome to attend. This includes businesses such as, but not limited to, restaurants, hotels, movie theatres, family entertainment centers, award and trophy suppliers, uniform and apparel suppliers, photographers and so on. PSA expects a variety of sports organizations to participate, including youth baseball and softball, swimming, sailing, youth soccer, organized adult leagues, equestrian events, volleyball, tennis, golf, and running and endurance events.
Reservations are free and admittance is open to everyone. Space is limited.
Local sports organizations are asked to submit a request to PSA in order to reserve a table at the Expo. All sports organizations will use the designated tables to advocate their organization to local businesses and open communication.
