Errors, slams cost Raiders

Slumping Navarre fell to 6-7 after losing 6-0 to Jay, Okla., in the first round of the Aggie Classic high school baseball tournament Monday. (PHOTO: Robby Miller tags out a Milton runner attempting to steal second base.)

The loss was the Raiders’ third straight and Navarre’s first shutout loss of the season. The Maroon and Black were scheduled to play Edmond, Okla., North on Tuesday at West Florida High School. The tournament, featuring 22 local and out-of-state teams, continues through today, Thursday March 21, when the two top-seeded teams and third- and fourth-seeded teams will play at 7 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively, at Community Maritime Park in Pensacola.
