Bitter no-hitter:
Jeffery Rutledge pitched a no-hitter Thursday at Tate but Navarre lost 1-0 to the Aggies after allowing an unearned run in the fifth inning.
All-Star MVP
Navarre’s Ryan Olson scored the game’s only goal to lead the East All-Stars to a 1-0 win Thursday in the Pensacola Sports Association’s Subway High School All-Star Series boys’ soccer match. The goal, set up by a pass from Sam Hoskins of Gulf Breeze, earned Olson the game’s Most Valuable Player award. Raiders Brendan White and Jordan Supra joined Olson on the East team, comprised of seniors from Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties.
Morgan Littlewood and Hayley Naker represented Navarre in the girls’ game, won by the East All-Stars 2-1 after two rounds of penalty kicks.
