Girls’ weightlifting

All 15 Navarre lifters entered in Wednesday’s district meet – the maximum allowed – qualified for next month’s state finals. Lady Raiders’ won nine of 10 weight divisions; Navarre didn’t enter a lifter in the unlimited division. The top three lifters in each weight division qualified for the Feb. 9 meet in Kissimmee. Lifters will compete at a Jan. 23 sectional meet at Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach with a chance to qualify for state or to improve their rankings.
