Raiders will host top-ranked ‘Canes for title shot

Navarre’s playoff odyssey doesn’t get any easier; a week after dispatching fifth-ranked Lake City Columbia 28-21, the Raiders have to play the only other team to beat the Tigers in 2012, top-ranked Gainesville.

Not only are the undefeated Hurricanes (13-0) ranked first in Florida Class 6A, at least two organizations include them among the nation’s elite. ESPN ranks Gainesville 16th in its high school football power rankings and MaxPreps lists the ‘Canes 25th in its Xcellent 25 rankings.
