Jenny Wells and Madison Rodwell took advantage of the only lapse in the Pensacola defense in the entire game to score the only goal of the night as the Raiders shut out the Tigers 1-0 at NYSA Nov. 7.
After playing a scoreless first half, Wells made an aggressive move as she intercepted a Tiger pass near midfield at the 46-minute mark of the game. Instead of just clearing the ball, Wells dribbled the ball forward. After a few yards, she found Rodwell cutting toward the middle of the field, calling for the ball. Wells sent a perfect pass to Rodwell, who took it in stride. As Rodwell raced past two defenders, she fired a shot that sent the ball into the right side of the goal to make the score 1 - 0.
