Schluter wins final NYSA seat

Jennifer Schluter narrowly beat incumbent Daren Thomas in last week’s runoff election for the final seat on the 2012-2013 Navarre Youth Sports Association Board of Directors.

Schluter received 50 of the 95 votes cast, Thomas received 43 votes, a ballot was voided because it was marked by an ineligible voter – and one vote was cast for Mickey Mouse “because he could run this board better than (the current board members and candidates).”

The NYSA board is comprised by 12 members serving two-year terms. The terms are staggered so six seats are up for election each year.
