Lady Raiders finish fourth at Azalea City Classic

MOBILE, Ala. – Navarre High School’s girls cross country squad finished fourth Saturday at the Azalea City Classic. The Raiders were one of 10 teams from Alabama, Florida and Mississippi competing in the annual event.

Elle Crouse finished the 5-kilometer course at Brookley Pines Golf Course in 22 minutes, 18.31 seconds, good enough for 13th of 83 runners in the high school girls competition.

Carmen Carlos of Mobile’s McGill-Toolen Catholic High School finished first with a time of 18:09.15.

McGill-Toolen won the team title with 42 points. UMS-Wright was second with 60 points, followed by Spanish Fort with 76 and Navarre with 106. Baker (136), Cottage Hill Christian (169), Hancock (181), Foley (192), Daphne (200) and W. P. Davidson (266) rounded out the team results.

Kaitlin Bouchat finished 16th for the Lady Raiders in 22:42.84. Other Navarre runners included Kylie Foster, 27th, 23:30.28; Andraya Mendez, 29th, 23:51.89; August Stone, 40th, 25:03.89; Chelsea Pena, 56th, 26:34.23; and Katelyn Covington, 59th, 26:59.96.
