Navarre High School has two swimmers and several relay teams headed to regional competition after last week’s district meet in Pensacola.
The teams faltered in the District 1-2A championship meet held at Pensacola’s West Florida Aquatic Center Thursday, with the boys finishing eighth and the girls taking seventh place. Fort Walton Beach’s boys garnered first place and the Mosley girls finished well ahead of runner-up Fort Walton Beach.
“As a team we just weren’t strong enough to threaten powerhouses like Fort Walton and Mosley “ but we have several individuals (that will) move on to Tallahassee to compete in the regional championships,” said swim coach Lauris Joyner.
