Navarre’s volleyball team opened district 1 4A tournament action Monday at Gulf Breeze with a win, 25-18, 25-9, 14-25, 25-24, over the West Florida Lady Jaguars. 

The triumph was true to form for the Lady Raiders against a valiant but outgunned West Florida team that ended its season without a district win and an overall record of 3-18.The remaining big question for Navarre will be how well the team will rise to the challenge of being the underdog in the following night’s semi-final match against a very strong Gulf Breeze team led by their dominant net player Celia Eddy.
