The Navarre High School Lady Weightlifting team snared another second-place state championship Saturday night, following an intense competition in Kissemee.
This is the third year in a row the team has ranked second in the state, nipping at the heals of a team from Spruce Creek, which has held the state title for the past eight years.
The Lady Raiders' issue this year was a lack of first-place nods. Three weightlifters came in second-place: Amanda Friar, Skye Barberi, and Jasmin Anderson.
However, the team won more medals this year than they have in years' past.
