The Vikings scored first, but Navarre scored more often Friday in the Raiders' first-ever football win at Fort Walton Beach.
Navarre (4-4, 3-1 District 2-6A) gained more than 500 yards in total offense and the defense forced four turnovers – including three interceptions by Demetrious Brown – to seal the 35-14 win at Steve Riggs Stadium.
The win gave Navarre consecutive victories for the first time this season and created a three-way tie atop the district standings. Choctawhatchee, Navarre and Niceville all sport 3-1 district records heading into this week's final district games. The Raiders are scheduled to play Mosley (4-4, 1-3) at 7 p.m. Thursday in Lynn Haven. On Friday, Choctawhatchee (6-2, 3-1) hosts Fort Walton Beach and Niceville (5-4, 3-1) hosts Crestview (4-5, 2-2). If there's a three-way tie for the district's two playoff spots, tiebreakers will be played Monday, Nov. 7, at a site to be determined.
