Navarre High School’s volleyball team closed out their regular season district competition with a loss to archrival Gulf Breeze 25-17, 25-21, 25-17. It was the second time this year that Navarre failed to match the intensity of the Lady Dolphins, who were led by their top striker, Celia Eddy.
The 6-foot-3-inch Eddy was dominant at the net with 21 kills and six blocks, thanks to the support of setter Tristan Powers, who was credited with 25 assists.
“Our girls were a little flat tonight, in addition to being out of position far too many times,” said Navarre coach Liz Pardue. “We also made quite a few unforced errors and we had way more serve errors than normal.”
