The Navarre Raider golf team finished regular season action with a below-average team score at Stonebrook behind Pace and Milton last Wednesday before rebounding with an improved showing at Hidden Creek on Thursday against Fort Walton Beach and Gulf Breeze.
“Our players finished in a first-place deadlock with Fort Walton, 160-all, Thursday while besting Gulf Breeze for the first time this season by two strokes,” said Coach David Noles. “I was hoping our players could break that magic 160-stroke barrier on our last regular season match, but they came up with another 160 for the fifth or sixth time this season. However, it was good to see senior Matt Christenson shoot a 38 for his best nine hole total of the season. That gives us six players who have turned in sub 40 scores in matches this season. The problem is we don’t have enough doing it at the same time.”
