The Navarre Raider golfers finished third in a four-team match at Hidden Creek Thursday, but managed to place ahead of Milton for the first time this season.
Catholic and Pace tied for first place with team scores of 156 while Navarre, led by Zack Billingsley’s medalist score of 37, totaled 161, five strokes ahead of the Panthers.
“We’re still trying to break the magic 160 barrier as a team, and all that seems to be in the way is a coming together of our players,” said Raider coach David Noles. “Individually all of our players have shot below 40 this season with several, like Trey Aguirre and Zac Woolen, doing it several times. All we need to get over the hump is for all of our players to come together as a team and do it at the same time.”
