Navarre teams continue to rock Dizzy Dean

The City of Gulf Breeze hosted the 2011 Dizzy Dean North State Baseball Tournament for the Under  9, 10, 11, and 12 age divisions, June 23-27 at Shoreline Park.

One hundred  two teams, representing areas from Pensacola to Panama City Beach, competed in the four age groups.

“Gulf Breeze has hosted at least one age division for a number of years and this year we had a record number of players and teams,” said Ryan Ottensmeyer, tournament director and a member of the City of Gulf Breeze Recreation Department professional staff.

Winners from each of the age divisions travel to Lynn Haven (Panama City), and play in a sectional tournament to earn a spot in the Dizzy Dean World Series, held in Mississippi later this summer.
