About a dozen incoming freshmen attended their first week of baseball camp last week.
They were auditioning for a slot on the Navarre High School baseball roster for the summer league.
There are three camps for incoming freshmen; and the camp is divided into three weeks. The first week is devoted to fundamentals. The second week focuses on defense and the last week is dedicated to improving their offense.
“We are looking for a shortstop, catcher, outfielder and a pitcher,” said Mickey O’Quinn, coach. “If any these players can play these positions, it will give them a better chance to make the team.”
