Honoring the 2011 NHS track team

The Navarre High School Track and Field team celebrated the 2011 season with a post-season banquet, in the school cafeteria, on Tuesday, May 31.

The Raiders were coached this season by Joe Austin, women, and Tom Lintz, men, and assisted by Mari Leitner and Jeff Knapp. 

“Our girls did an outstanding job this season competing in a tough district especially when the state champion (Pine Forest) is in it,” Austin said. “Several of our girls this year broke their personal best times in their event.  We finished in the top five in all meets this year including the invitational which has up to 18 teams which is phenomenal.  I am very proud of this year’s team with strong leadership from my seniors.”

Lintz echoed the team’s success.
