Brock SecondineLightning and rain eventually canceled what were becoming competitive games during the Pensacola Sports Association 2011 Subway High School All-Star baseball and softball games on May 26 at the University of West Florida.

At the all-star games, six Navarre students represented their high school.

For softball, Emily Pettigrew, Kelly Hayes, Chandler Bridges and Shelby O’Brian were chosen as all-stars from Navarre High School. They played on the east softball team along with players from Crestview, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Choctaw, Jay, Milton and Laurel Hill high schools.

For the baseball side of the all-stars, Devante Taylor and Brock Secondine represented Navarre High School. They played alongside all-stars from Gulf Breeze, Milton, Pace, Niceville, Crestview, Central, Jay, Choctaw, Bayou, Baker and Fort Walton Beach on the east team.

Both games were shortened due to lightning and rain. Before the teams left the field, however, the east softball team was winning 5 – 4 in the middle of the sixth-inning. The east baseball team was also on their way to a win with 6 – 3 in the bottom of the fourth.
