Navarre came from behind twice April 5 to beat visiting Lone Oak, Ky., 12-7. The win was the Raiders’ 10th, equaling last year’s total with five regular-season games remaining, and raised their record to 10-10 overall.
Chris Wheeler had four hits, including two doubles, in four at-bats and drove in five runs to spur the Navarre attack.
“We were just having fun,” Wheeler, a senior jack-of-all-trades, said after the game. “We were more relaxed; we weren’t thinking so hard about not making mistakes and just playing ball.”
