JV experience prepares young Raiders for ‘big time’

Junior varsity teams are the minor leagues of high school baseball, a developmental program to help prepare players for “the Show” — varsity competition.
Winning is secondary, according to Navarre jayvee coach Ben Green, whose troops started the season 7-1 and had an 8-4-1 record in combined freshmen and JV games before the home game scheduled March 23, against Harrison County, Ky.
