While most Santa Rosa County students were enjoying spring break, the Raider weight lifting team spent the week practicing in hopes of qualifying for the next level of competition.
They traveled to Washington on March 16 to face their toughest challenge of the season. Five lifters were up to the task, finishing in the top three places at the district qualifying meet and will compete in the state qualifying meet to be held on March 30. Five other Raiders placed fourth and are designated alternates at the meet.
