Led by state champions, Kayla Poole and Jameka Anderson, the Lady Raiders’ weightlifters finished second in the state weightlifting tournament held in Kissimmee on Feb. 13.
The Raiders placed second in the state competition for the third year in a row, and this year scored their highest point total ever. The meet was extremely close with the Raiders barely beaten out of first place by Spruce Creek by a 28 to 26 score. Timber Creek finished in third place with 19 points.
