Lady Raiders advance to regional play

Navarre’s Lady Raider basketball team won their 1-5A district tournament opener, 39-27, against Escambia Tuesday, advanced to the semi-finals andwon a 41-40 upset against the Pace Lady Patriots on Friday and then suffered a 51-20 loss to Pine Forest in the championship game Saturday.
After winning the cliff hanger over Pace on Friday, Coach David Noles said before the start of the championship game, “I just told the girls to go out and enjoy themselves because no matter the outcome, they had already earned their ticket to regional competition.”
