The Lady Raiders ventured into the noisy home court of arch rival Gulf Breeze Thursday and, despite a strong fight, were bested 25-21, 25-17 and 25-23. The district 1 4A setback for Navarre followed a convincing home win against West Florida, 25-15, 25-17 and 25-18.
“I’m not too disappointed with our loss to Gulf Breeze because our girls played well and had a chance to win all three of the games,” coach Liz Pardue said. “We lost partly because we’re a less experienced team. We were often out of position on defense, which we can correct along with learning to play smarter.
