NHS Girls Soccer: Lady Raiders blank Tate, top Milton

Kelly Hayes led the Raiders to a 2-0 win after a frustrating and scoreless first half against a stubborn Tate defense.

Things started to change at the 55-minute mark when Madison Rodwell passed to Meghan Slaybaugh about 25 yards from the net. Slaybaugh passed to Hayes  about 15 yards from the goal, and she hammered home the first of two goals. Her second goal came on an assist by Hannah Gullickson. Hayes’ goals were the only scores of the night, in the 2-0 win at NYSA on Nov. 15.

Timberwolf Classic

Coach Rob Simon had to dig deep into his bench when Navarre played three games in two days at the Tallahassee Timberwolf Classic Tournament held Nov. 19 and 20. Ten minutes into the game against University High School of Fort Lauderdale, junior goalkeeper Megan Erwin injured her knee. “ To make matters worse, the Lady Raiders lost the game 0-1.

Raiders 4, Milton 2

Again playing shorthanded, Navarre fell behind early against Milton. The Panthers scored twice in the first half.
