NHS Boys Soccer: Raiders lose nail biters to Niceville and Pace

David DeCarmoRaiders 3, Niceville 4

It was a nail-biting case of bad luck for the Raiders last week.

With the score tied, Niceville kicked a long shot to the Raider goal. Keeper Drew Conley lined up the ball to make an easy catch on one hop. But like a bad hop in baseball, the ball took an unexpected bounce that carried over Conley’s shoulder into the goal, giving Niceville a one goal advantage. The Raiders almost tied the game when Jordan Supra’s shot hit the post but that attempt bounced harmlessly away.

Raiders 1, Pace 2

The Raiders played a heartbreaker against Pace on their home turf Nov 18. The Raiders took an early lead when Brazelton was pushed in the penalty area. Hagood scored his second penalty kick of the season to take a 1 to 0 lead.
