In their first regular season game against arch rival Gulf Breeze, the Lady Raiders were forced to play without injured Alex Herman, and volleyball players Kelly Hayes and Shelby Weidenhamer.
Gulf Breeze had a seemingly insurmountable 3 to 1 lead with less than 20 minutes remaining in the game. However, the Raiders fought back hard and when Morgan Littlewood scored with ten minutes to play, the Raiders had a chance. The revitalized girls began to pressure the Dolphins defense. With two minutes to play, Littlewood was pushed down from behind about 25 yards from the Dolphin goal. Madison Rodwell lined up for the ensuing direct kick. Her kick found its way past the right side of the defensive wall of the Dolphins and into the right side of the net to tie the game.
