Navarre High School overcame four turnovers and scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns in a historic 31-21 come-from-behind football win Friday at Pace.
The Raiders improved to 6-2, equaling their win total from the previous two seasons combined. Navarre’s fourth-straight victory was the program’s first-ever against the Patriots and, coupled with Escambia’s beating Tate, guaranteed the Raiders just their third-ever playoff berth.
But the 2010 “Live Strong” Raiders aren’t interested in history.
“We don’t want to talk about what’s happened here in the past,” senior quarterback Colton Kane said after Friday’s game. “We want to come out and do what we can do to establish our identity, to start a new beginning for Navarre High School. It’s just time to get it done.”
