Navarre High School suffered its first football loss of the season Friday, 42-21, at the hands of host Pensacola Catholic.
For the second week in a row, the Raiders fell well behind after the first two quarters, this time by 21 points.
In the previous week, Navarre overcame a 16-point deficit to beat Walton, but that wasn’t in the cards against Catholic’s Crusaders, the state’s second-ranked team in Class 2B.
Last year, Navarre couldn’t corral Catholic’s star quarterback, Shaun White, and despite some valiant efforts, White proved to be the difference again.
