For over a dozen years, high-school baseball teams from the South have journeyed to Northwest Florida to compete in the prestigious Powerade Classic.
Crestview hosted this year's tournament, which was played the week of March 22-26 at high-school fields in both Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties.
This year's teams included Navarre, Pace, Milton Choctawhatchee, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Paxton, Bryant (Ark.), North Little Rock (Ark.) Bentonville (Ark.), Shoals Christian (Ala.) and Clarksville (Tenn.).
The Navarre High School varsity baseball team finished 2-1 in the tournament, with Pace winning the championship.
