The Navarre Raiders High School softball team gave up three runs to Milton and the top of the first inning and was never able to overcome the deficit, falling in a key district game, 5-2, at Navarre on March 19.
"We got off to a slow start," said head coach Scott Murphy. "We've done this the last couple of games - give up some runs in the first few innings. Tonight, we got ourselves in a hole."
The Panthers (11-5 overall, 6-2 district) scored their three runs in the top of the first inning through the auspices of a walk, two singles and two wild pitches.
