It has turned into a dream season for Coach Aaron Daniel and the dedicated girls on his weightlifting team. The Navarre High School girls weightlifting team sent 14 girls (one less than the maximum allowed by the state) to the state-qualifier meet held at Choctaw on Jan. 27.

 

“After the district championship, we had 14 girls that could participate in the state qualifier meet,” Daniel said. “I thought if everyone really stepped up at today’s event, we had a chance for all of them to advance to the state meet. I am very proud of all of them. They have really worked hard.”
