Lady Raider soccer players honored

Rob Simon, head coach of the Navarre High School girls’ soccer team, had nothing but praise for the 2008-2009 squad at its recent awards banquet.

Of course, the team had the most successful season in school history.
“We finished 17-10 with 57 goals, 53 assists and 33 goals against,” Simon said. “We won the Gainesville Buchholz Bobcat Invitational Silver Division Championship. We were the District 1-4A runners-up and regional semifinalists. We won the first playoff game in school history, traveling to Panama City and winning on the road.”
