Erin Brockovich to visit Pensacola

Erin Brockovich, the outspoken legal researcher turned celebrity advocate, will be visiting Pensacola next week to meet with Gulf Coast residents impacted by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Brockovich, best known for the 2000 film of the same name, will join Pensacola-based investigator Carol Moore at a town hall-style meeting at 6 p.m. May 20 at the Saenger Theatre in downtown Pensacola.

Brockovich now works for the New York law firm Weitz & Luxenberg, which has filed lawsuits based on oil spill claims.

"I would like to tell the local commercial fisherman who aren't able to earn a living, and other business owners, 'You have rights and we can help,'" said Brockovich is a press release.
