Santa Rosa County schools are breathing a collective sigh of relief, now that the highly-anticipated FCAT scores have finally been released.
NCS Pearson, the company responsible for administering the test, officially released the scores to districts across the state on Tuesday.
“Overall, we are pleased with the results,” said Bill Price, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction for Santa Rosa County schools. “It’s been a long haul, all of us, educators, administrators, and parents have been understandably anxious.”
According to Price, science and reading scores were level across the board, while math scores were down slightly.
Administrators expect scores to be mailed to parents as early as July 15.
