Read more...Army Staff Sergeant Aaron Hale lost his eyes in Afghanistan when he approached an IED that exploded after first attempting to disable it from a distance using robots. That was December 8, 2011 and now, a year and almost four months later Hale is teaching at Eglin. At a ceremony held on Saturday, Hale and his family were gifted a home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
