Heroes on the Water Event

Read more...Heroes on the Water Emerald Coast Chaptor got underway in Navarre this morning with 17 Anglers and their Volunteer Kayak fishermen coaches. Heroes on the Water (HOW) serves all military personnel who have been wounded, injured or disabled.  What looks like a day trip of paddling and fishing for wounded vets is in fact something much deeper and long-lasting.

UWF ousts Delta State, 5-1

Argos will face host and No. 2 ranked Tampa on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.

TAMPA - The No. 14 ranked West Florida baseball team outlasted No. 4 Delta State in a 5-1 win on Friday night on the second day of the NCAA Division II South Regional hosted by the University of Tampa. Senior starting pitcher Drew Bryson (Cullman, Ala./Wallace State CC-Hanceville) pitched his third complete game of the year and struck out 10 batters in the win.

BOCA RATON - The West Florida baseball team had four players earn spots on the Daktronics All-South Region Team announced on Thursday, and Jake Stephens (Marietta, Ga./Northwest Florida State) and Ben Bridges (Cartersville, Ga./Northwest Florida State) earned spots on the first team. Stephens was also named South Region Pitcher of the Year.
