Santa Rosa Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an armed robbery at the Navarre Burger King.
Two men, described by witnesses as Hispanic or Asian, entered the restaurant at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22. One suspect brandished a rifle and one jumped the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash from a safe. The suspects, wearing yellow bandanas over their faces, gray hoodie sweatshirts and blue jeans, fled through the rear door. A canine officer and helicopter searched the area for the suspects without success. A Burger King employee ran to Waffle House next door to report the robbery and the Burger King’s hold-up alarm alerted the sheriff’s office.Investigators are asking anyone with information concerning the identities of the suspects to call the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at 983-1190, or Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP (437-7867).
