Burger King robbed

Santa Rosa Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an armed robbery at the Navarre Burger King.

Two men, described by witnesses as Hispanic or Asian, entered the restaurant at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22. One suspect brandished a rifle and one jumped the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash from a safe. The suspects, wearing yellow bandanas over their faces, gray hoodie sweatshirts and blue jeans, fled through the rear door. A canine officer and helicopter searched the area for the suspects without success. A Burger King employee ran to Waffle House next door to report the robbery and the Burger King’s hold-up alarm alerted the sheriff’s office.

Investigators are asking anyone with information concerning the identities of the suspects to call the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at 983-1190, or Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP (437-7867).
