Reader Shares: Navarre girl writes Santa and receives gift via the Navarre Post Office.
A few weeks ago my daughter told me she wanted a Holiday Barbie for Christmas. I said I wasn’t paying $40 for a Barbie when she never plays with them, and I suggested she ask Santa for it. She then decided to write Santa a letter. All she asked for was the Holiday Barbie. She put the letter in an envelope with a stamp on it addressed to Santa at the North Pole and mailed it.Today, the mail carrier brought the mail to the door with a box addressed to my daughter. It had no return address on it, just a postmark from the Navarre post office. The mail carrier told me it was a Santa Gift. It was a white box with red tape on it to look like ribbon. Dayna was excited and Jamie was in disbelief. I told my daughter that Santa’s pretty busy this time of year and asked the post office for help delivering gifts. After my daughter went to bed I opened it, carefully, and it was the Holiday Barbie. I have no idea who it came from, so apparently Santa Clause lives in Navarre.
