Paving operations on U.S. 98 between the Okaloosa County line and the Gulf Breeze Zoo in Santa Rosa County will begin this week. Workers will start milling and resurfacing the outside lane beginning at the Okaloosa County line moving westward. Drivers can expect lane closures one to two miles in length around the work zone. Paving operations will take place Sunday through Friday 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Construction activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are reminded to travel with care through the work zone and to watch for construction equipment and workers entering and exiting the roadway.
