Deputies were dispatched to Navarre Beach to search for a missing swimmer at about 4 p.m. Saturday. The U.S. Coast Guard and Navarre Fire Department were also called to assist in the search.
According to the release, the body of a male was found after several hours of searching.
UPDATE: The swimmer has been identified as Jeremy Aaron Johnson from New Orleans. Johnson was found in the surf just before sunset, approximately half-a-mile east of the last pavilion in the county park area of the beach. According to the report, Johnson was vacationing in Navarre Beach.
